Archetypes in Art
In literature, an archetype is a typical character, an action, or a situation that seems to represent universal patterns of human nature. An archetype, also known as “universal symbol,” may be a character, a theme, a symbol, or even a setting. My work is comprised of color, line, surface that expresses known imagery, shapes & color that viewer may recognize in a conscious and sub-conscious manner. Sometimes experienced as a memory from the dream state. Is all art this? Possibly. Art cannot really be compared. Only experienced.
